BROKOLI es acrónimo utilizado para el proyecto “Broker de conocimiento para el dominio del Software Libre”, que ha contado con la subvención parcial del MITyC y la participación activa de ASCAMM, ha concluido con éxito y sus resultados se han expuesto en una sesión de trabajo en Almendralejo (Badajoz).Los socios del proyecto son: PLASTIA (empresa coordinadora de la iniciativa y desarrolladora de la aplicación), Linux-Magazine (proveedores de contenidos técnicos de calidad en temas de software libre), CATPL (asociación catalana de empresas que pueded ofrecer servicios con tecnologías de software libre), Fundación CETAQUA y Fundación ASCAMM (estas últimas has sido las entiddades encargadas de implementar el prototipo de la aplicación en sus intranets, testearla y validarla).
Con la herramienta BROKOLI, el usuario dispondrá de un agente AI (al más puro estilo MATRIX) que velará por encontrarle y mostrarle contenidos del extenso y complicado (para muchos) mundo de las aplicaciones basadas en el modelo de software libre. Esta incesante actividad de búsqueda se realiza de forma semántica y contextualizada, es decir, el agente “sabe” en cada momento que hace el usuario e intenta mostrarle los contenidos acordes a esa precisa situación. Por ejemplo, si estamos navegando en una web que va de productos de ofimática, es muy posible que nos sugiera artículos de Linux-Magazine sobre OpenOffice.
La presentación se hizo el pasado 29 de febrero en el marco de un importante evento organizado por el Centro Nacional de Referencia de Aplicación de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (CENATIC) en el que estuvieron presentes: la vicepresidenta de Asuntos Económicos y consejera de Economía, Comercio e Innovación de la Junta de Extremadura , María Dolores Aguilar; el alcalde de Almendralejo , José María Ramírez; la directora gerente de CENATIC, Carolina Grau; y el presidente de ASOLIF, Daniel Armendáriz.
